Last month Leeds County Council's fuelsaver's programme launched its "Thermo" energy superhero at the Carbon Action Conference in Leeds. Thermo's whose thermal imaging powers raise awareness of the heat lost from homes and energy appliances. The fuelsavers programme is rolling out energy efficiency measures across the county and using many innovative marketing approaches to reach large audiences.
More plans are afoot to bring Thermo into local schools and set up various media stunts in the county.
These activities are enabled by Leeds County Council's Ashden Prize money from their 2008 Award in the Local Authority category.
